Effective Presentation Skills

Speaking before a group is the number one fear for people. There's the old joke that at a funeral the person delivering the eulogy would oftentimes prefer to trade places with the dead person in the coffin!

This two day workshop is designed to transform your fear into energy and excitement and give you the tools to become a persuasive and effective speaker. Participants will get an opportunity to prepare and present a 5 minute presentation to the group.

Each participant will get a videotaped copy of their presentation along with written feedback from the facilitator and the group.

Class sizes are limited because of the personal coaching and feedback that is given in this workshop.

In addition, the workshop will cover the following topics:

• The components of the communication process and how understanding these components will make you a more effective presenter.
• How to determine what you want to accomplish with your presentation.
• How to establish rapport with your audience.
• Factors you need to consider when analyzing your audience.
• A quick and easy process for generating ideas for your content.
• Openings that will capture the audience's attention.
• Techniques for closing on a high note and galvanizing your audience to action.
• How to create visuals that capture attention.
• How to control anxiety and nervousness.
• How to deliver effectively using the "3 Vs".
• Managing questions.
