"Thanks
for your "Becoming Achievers with Character" Workbooks.
I've used the questions and activities in the Workbooks to open
up a whole new world of communication and dialogue with my 13
year old daughter.
Prior
to the Workbooks our conversations were limited to "yes/no"
responses, one of the ways in which teenagers shut down and shut
you out. With the Workbooks we both write our responses to the
questions and then we share and compare our responses, probing
each other as to why we responded in a particular way.
This
leads to a lively discussion of our values, perspectives, relationship
and expectations of each other. Through this we realize that there
are no right or wrong answers, just different view points. We
end up becoming closer and I can't think of a better way to get
to understand each other. I recommend these Workbooks for every
parent who wants to connect with their adolescent child in a meaningful
way. The added bonus is that you get to work on yourself also.
Good job!"

"I
was fortunate enough to obtain a set of your "Becoming Achievers
with Character" Workbooks. I cannot say enough good things
about them. They are an affirming, cross-cultural, and life changing
guide for today's youth. I would dare to say that if every school
taught this as part of required curriculum, we would be raising
confident, caring, young adults who having identified their own
special gifts and unique purpose can go on to achieve success
for themselves and their communities. These amazing Workbooks
have world changing potential. Thank you."

I
would like to thank you for the "Becoming Achievers with
Character" Workbooks and for taking the time to put together
a motivational tool that can be referred back to in any new and
existing experiences that I encounter. I found that it was easy
reading. The examples and quotes you used made it easy to grasp
the principles you outlined.
Workbook
1 is my favorite because it helped me realize the difference between
charm and character and the importance of the latter. It made
me understand the value of showing your true character to gain
respect rather than charming your way into being liked. This Workbook
in particular will remind me how important it is to reveal the
person I am and of course this is where Workbook 2 "The Importance
of Self Confidence and Self Esteem" ties in, because it's
through self confidence and self esteem that I will be able to
allow the real me to shine. Thanks again for your interesting
material.

Right
now I am in the beginning months of a PhD program in Cell and
Molecular Biology (November 2006). After two months, I had already
gotten sick three times, felt stress a lot, was starting to get
very irritable with other people and being very hard on myself.
I
felt I had to do something ASAP, so I started working through
the Becoming Achievers with Character Workbooks. Slowly I began
to calm down. I learned how to determine what is important for
me, what is it that I want my life to be about, how to manage
my time and prioritize better. I am presently working on the last
Workbooks.
My
experience has been like having a coach every night encouraging
me to go forward and teaching me skills to succeed without throwing
my values out the window, or getting sick in the process. The
topics covered in the Workbooks consist of bite-sized, easily
digestible lessons, followed by activities that help me reflect
on or learn the skills they are intended to teach. That way, I
can very quickly put everything into practice.
The
skills cover six key areas of life, and I am very grateful to
you for sharing your knowledge with the world. (November
2006)
